Yes ladies and gents, I do not like this irksome Hallmark Holiday. Perhaps it’s just because I’m alone, bitter and old or maybe its because I had a lot more fun the day before (and I can still taste those kisses). Why in the world do we need one particular singled out day of the year to express our love for someone? What ever happened to picking one’s testicles up off the ground and declaring their love for someone any day of the year (I do not own a pair of testicles myself but you know where I’m getting at with this metaphor…..one would hope so, anyway)

My gift to you on this most joyous of Hallmark Holidays is to wish you good luck with tomorrow and the next day and the day after that. I don’t need one day of the year to let you know that I love you. I’ve got all the fucking time in the world to do that.

It was a hell of a difficult month. Four days into February and things are looking peachy keen. No interview date set as yet for dreamjob 2.0. The truth is, I’m not even bothered about it anymore. I would love to become a technical trainer but I’m not going to get my knickers in a twist over not getting a job which is ultimately a part-time position. I’d still be on the phones, doing what I’ve been doing since the year dot and a quarter.

You know what I love about February? Autumn leaves. It’s not technically Autumn yet but as I was walking past the Banana Alley Vaults in town, I couldn’t help but kick the piles of leaves that I encoutered. I felt like a kid again for a few brief minutes before a snooty looking businessman told me off for disturbing the pile of leaves. Bah!

It’s going to be a busy month of social shenanigans ahead!  You’ll more than likely be seeing me do my ditsy quiet inconspicuous type thang at:

  • Melbourne Twestival – Thursday February 12 at Horse Bazaar*
  • Black Friday work do - Friday February 13 at some place where the booze is free and the scenery is cheerful
  • Propagandhi - Saturday February 21 at the Corner Hotel

It’s a new month and obviously time to retire the old theme that was used. Time for something new and shiny with thanks to varometro. Very cool Wordpress theme indeed.

You bet your sweet bee-hind I’ve been busy. It’s almost November. Where the heck has the year gone? There’s talk of Christmas parties at work…..not to mention annual leave (oh yes, sweet delicious annual leave covered in vanilla frosting and served on a plate by a very sexy, brainy guy with a shaved head). Pity I can’t any of those around, eh?

Right, did someone say bullet points?

In particular order, @melbournegirl has been:

  • up to her tiny ears in work type work. Being put under the pump, bent over a barrel and then shot out of a cannon is somewhere in between sadomasochistic and fun!
  • working on a podcast project under my DJ guise. All will be revealed shortly, petal. Patience, please :)
  • devouring blogs as if they were super tasty delicious burek – chomp, chomp, chomp!
  • totally amazed by the fact that 1999 decided to invade Twitter and kick me in the girly bits repeatedly (don’t ask!)
  • trying to get back into the rhythm of blogging, tripping over her literary shoelaces and wandering off home to sulk

So, uh, yeah, I’m back and stuff. How are you?
