Slowly and surely bringing in the new year with my late best friend.

2) What was your status by Valentine’s Day?
Depressingly single (as always)

3) Were you in school (anytime this year)?
Nope, however, work did feel like attending kindergarten at times

4) How did you earn your money?
By being the same old phonebot wageslave I have been for the last five years.

5) Did you have to go to the hospital?
Only to visit people and unfortunately say goodbye to my late best friend.

6) Did you have any encounters with the police?
Just the usual having to deal with the ever reliable VicPol when it came to being threatened by my fuckwit muzztech next door beefcake neighbours.

7) Where did you go on holiday?
What is this thing called a “hoiday”? It does NOT compute. NEXT….
What did you purchase that was over $1000?
My Macbook

9) Did you know anybody who got married?
No.

10) Did you know anybody who passed away?
My once was best friend.

11) Did you move anywhere?
Out of my chair to go to the bathroom on numerous occasions.

12) What concerts/shows did you go to?
Propagandhi, Ferry Corsten. Both were brilliant.

13) Describe your birthday.
Ended up taking the day off from work. Got hair cut and dyed and generally had a stress free day.

14) What’s one thing you thought you’d never do but did in 2009?
Met some pretty awesome people from Twitter and actually attended an MTUB.

15) What has been your favorite moment?
Messy goodbyes between myself and a very delicious bloke at Flinders Street Station, crazy nights out with the work crew, meeting new people.

16) What’s something you learnt about yourself?
I’m strong (in the mental sense)

17)  Any new additions to your family?
Nope.

December

19) Where will you be ending 2009?
At Etihad Stadium, dressed in white, dancing to some funky music at Sensation White.

I see… my laptop not looking all that cheerful

I find… that my nights are beginning to drag on forever out of sheer boredom

I want…. that would be telling and besides that, Buckley’s chance of that, so no, I don’t want anything.

I have… a lot on my mind.

I love… music!

I hate… the word “hate” because it’s such a strong and vicious emotion.

I miss… hanging out with likeminded people who I can babble to about music, geeky things and why the night sky looks pretty damn awesome sometimes

I fear… everything and nothing. The world’s a bloody scary place sometimes. Be careful.

I feel… like I’ve been dipped in liquid nitrogen (mmmmmm frosty)

Riayn asks:

1. If you could change anything about your life what would you change and why?

The one thing I’d change would be the last ten years of my life, namely all the depression that went along with it. I would be a lot less insular as a result and probably would’ve continued working in radio instead of winding up accepting a job in a call centre.

2. If you could only save one book out of your book collection, which one would you save?

That’s a tough one as I’m a bit of a bookworm. I would save “The Unbearable Lightness of Being” by Milan Kundera. Apart from one of my dearest long lost friends buying me the book for my birthday, I love immersing myself in Kundera’s delicious literary work.

3. What is your favourite time of day?

Morning – namely the morning train ride into work. I tend to tweet like mad and all of my best ideas seem to sprout from the morning train ride into work.

1. Of your favorite musicians, which one do you wish had retired at his/her/their prime?

Way to throw a curve ball of a question at me. Hmm, I would say that David Gedge (of the Wedding Present and Cinerama fame) should’ve hung up the microphone after the final Cinerama album. His latest musical efforts failed. Shoegaze isn’t coming back any time this century, no matter how much you wish for it.

2. Will it get better if I keep picking it?

Nothing says “Look at me, I am a sexy beast of a human being” more than scars left from picked scabs. Just remember, Dettol and Stingose are your best mates. Did I tell you that the scab on your left elbow makes you look HOT?

3. Who would you turn gay for?

Alyson Hannigan. No questions asked.

James asks:

1. Most embarrassing wardrobe choice?

A red and white striped shirt that I own with uber puffy sleeves. Lets just say that I looked like a clown in a meeting and leave it at that

2. Favourite food and drink

In terms of food, it’s burek, burek, BUREK all the way. In terms of drink, well, I’d list something alcoholic but I don’t drink booze anymore, so ummm, let’s see…..water!

3. Worst pick-up line delivered/received

Delivered: “You’re beautiful. Wanna come to 7-11 with me for a Slurpee?” (funnily enough it worked and the Slurpee wasn’t too bad either)

Received (whilst sitting in a corner by myself at my old watering hole): “I like your belly. Would you like me to buy you a drink?”
