WATCHMEN – I ventured out to see the film ‘Watchmen‘ last Sunday after having being mesmerised by the trailer. I had read the graphic novel a while back and oh oh oh, it was an “interesting” film, to say the least.

The one thing that dominated the film (apart from the very lacklustre adaptation of the graphic novel to the cinema) was Doctor Manhattan’s glowing blue uncircumsized penis. Ladies and gentlemen, all I have to say about that is WHAT A HUGE DONG! It was swinging to and fro like a big blue pulsating pendulum for the majority of the film. Distraction? Umm, yes! Very much so.

‘Watchmen’ gets a very dismal 3.75 out of 5 from yours truly. I’m a DC Comics fangirl but this film seriously disappointed me.

TWITTER – I am @melbournegirl on Twitter. Having joined as a beta tester back in June 2007 and noticing that all of a sudden, Twitter has become something of a pseudo Myspace/Facebook hybrid site, I’ve grown weary of it and decided to take a break. It doesn’t mean that I’ve abandoned tweet tweet tweeting altogether. I suppose that when a person disappears from a social network, they have to be gone for a very long time before anyone seriously notices. So be it.

DAIQUIRIS – Work has been remarkably good this week, which is odd because I’m so used to the days dragging themselves out like a dog that has had its two back legs shot off. I’ve been offered lots of added responsibility of a geekier nature and well, celebrations were long overdue so it was off to the Pub at Crown for daiquiris. Kiwi Kisses, Black Widows and Blue Moons. Delicious.

You bet your sweet bee-hind I’ve been busy. It’s almost November. Where the heck has the year gone? There’s talk of Christmas parties at work…..not to mention annual leave (oh yes, sweet delicious annual leave covered in vanilla frosting and served on a plate by a very sexy, brainy guy with a shaved head). Pity I can’t any of those around, eh?

Right, did someone say bullet points?

In particular order, @melbournegirl has been:

  • up to her tiny ears in work type work. Being put under the pump, bent over a barrel and then shot out of a cannon is somewhere in between sadomasochistic and fun!
  • working on a podcast project under my DJ guise. All will be revealed shortly, petal. Patience, please :)
  • devouring blogs as if they were super tasty delicious burek – chomp, chomp, chomp!
  • totally amazed by the fact that 1999 decided to invade Twitter and kick me in the girly bits repeatedly (don’t ask!)
  • trying to get back into the rhythm of blogging, tripping over her literary shoelaces and wandering off home to sulk

So, uh, yeah, I’m back and stuff. How are you?
